Entry Requirements

Qualifications

A Degree of second-class honours classification or higher in a relevant subject area. Typically these areas would be:

  • Motorsport
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Automotive
  • Engineering or similar
Admission with advanced standing (credit of previous modules studied at postgraduate level) is possible for applicants holding a relevant postgraduate qualification or who have relevant and extensive industry experience at a senior level.

Industry Experience

Applicants with lower entry qualifications but with Motorsport/Automotive industry experience at a senior level can also be admitted on to the programme at the discretion of the award tutor. Each application will be considered on an individual basis.

International Students

  • NMA recognises equivalent international qualifications and these will be considered on an individual basis
  • Applications are welcome from all international students with a good standard of English
  • If English is not your first language IELTS average 6.5 or TOEFL score of 550 is usually required, however all students are considered on an individual basis as we are aware that many international students have already been taught in English at school, college or university.

Accreditation

The MSc Advanced Motorsport Engineering degree is awarded by our academic partner, De Montfort University Leicester (DMU).
