The Best Aerodynamics Job

Mercedes AMG F1 Jobs

Mercedes AMG F1: CFD Aerodynamicist

This has got to be one of the best jobs for any aerodynamic / CFD nuts out there. You’ll need to be a graduate with an aeronautical or Mechanical/Engineering degree and you’ll be working between CFD developers and the Aerodynamics department. 

You’ll also be good at picking up new engineering software quickly and ideally will have a knowledge of programming using Python.

Best Contract Position

chassis design

Chassis Design Engineer: £40 per hour

This role is being folled by a recruitment consultant outside of the motorsport industry but it’s an interesting contract design role based in the Midlands. You’ll need a degree in either automotive design, mechanical or motorsport engineering too apply and it’s for a period of 3-6 months though a perm role may become available.

  • At Least 2 years` experience in a design role within an automotive OR motorsport environment
  • Excellent 3D modelling and technical drawing skills
  • Good materials and manufacturing process knowledge
  • Customer focus

Desirable Skills:

  • NX experience and/or Catia V5
  • Teamcentre experience

Best Motorsport Apprenticeship Job

Without doubt, the best motorsport apprenticeship position out there at the moment. Applications have to be in by 18th April so be quick!

Mercedes AMG F1 Composite Paint Technician

£18500 a Year (!!!)

You’ll be working in the Applied Science Division at Mercedes AMG F1 and be part of a team responsible for the application of paint and vinyl solutions for F1 cars, race trucks and all other manner of branding and signage on vehicles and property. You’ll be fully supported and mentored by leading experts and will be nurtured towards success in this amazing environment. 

You’ll have a keen eye for detail, great dexterity and an enthusiastic approach. 

Anyone going for this position will need to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C which must include English, Maths and Science.

You must also be able to demonstrate an interest in the automotive refinish industry through your own projects, even if just as a hobby.

The duration is a minimum of 2 years but the exact duration will be set when the right candidate is found.
